Boil-out Wax Elimination Process
The elimination of the wax from the dentures flasked to form a mould into which resin may be packed is called boil-out or wax elimination process
Setted flasking stone
Boiling water 4-5 min.
Soften wax
Separation of the flask: If all undercuts were properly blocked-out in the investing procedure, no breakage of the hellls will take place
Lift-out the base trays carefully
Flash out the wax residue with hot water
Make sure that all the teeth are in place for not affected occlusion and balance
Clean the mould with a detergent or wax solvent
Flash out again the mould with clean hot water
Be sure that the moulds are clean and ready to be coated with tinfoil substitue
Apply a very thin film of seperator or foil substitue to the plaster surface while the flask is still hot
Take great care not to get any of the separator of the substitue left on the teeth
