What is an implant?
In medicine refers to the surgical insertion of live body parts in the body as transplants, the artificially created by the respective organ function imitative entities, as implantation. The “implanted” part - which function more or less over-implant means (eg hip joint, vascular prostheses, heart valve).
In dentistry it is taken either a jaw bone implant when it comes to age, erkrankungs- or accidental lost jawbone rebuild or implanting an artificial tooth root (rare), or in the jaw bone to fasten crowns, bridges and removable dentures.
